Moving on, we have the Philippine eagle, also known as the monkey-eating eagle due to its diet. This magnificent bird is critically endangered with only around 400 individuals left in the wild.
Fourth on our list is the spoon-billed sandpiper, a small wading bird that breeds in Russia and winters in Southeast Asia. With only around 500 individuals left, this bird is considered critically endangered.
